After having a modest official showing at CES 2025, AMD has said that it wants to give its RX 9070 gaming GPUs their time to shine and not get "washed under" the information overload of the world's biggest tech trade show. The GPUs were unveiled in Las Vegas at AMD's press conference but were shown very little fanfare and the company revealed very few details about the new cards.
Meanwhile, even though best graphics cards, but AMD is playing its cards close to its chest so far.
However, looking to address this situation, AMD is ensuring the world that we'll be "hearing more about it in the near future." In a "Meet the Experts" webinar, AMD representatives spoke about the launch of the GPU. According to VideoCardz, this was the most requested topic coming out of CES, presumably topping even any AI talk.
Speaking on the call, Donny Woligroski, AMD's Senior Processor Technical Marketing Manager, directly addressed the missing GPUs. "All I can say about Radeon is that what we have said is what we can say. We think it deserves its own time in the spotlight, and at CES, things can get kind of washed under a massive amount of information."
Woligroski also added that gamers and journalists alike should "stay tuned," so it's possible will host an official event for the RX 9070 cards before their rumored release date. Retailer B&H originally pegged the release date as January 23, which has been corroborated by other retailers, so that doesn't leave AMD much of a window to put together a big reveal.
