Assassin's Creed Animus Hub explained

The Assassin's Creed Animus Hub is a comprehensive launcher from which you can access multiple Assassin's Creed games, alongside hub-exclusive mission content, rewards, and lore. The Animus Hub is divided into four sections: Memories, Projects, Exchange, and Vault.

The Memories section presents a timeline of the major Assassin's Creed releases, which you can launch directly into – this will include future AC games. Only installments from Period 2 (Origins onwards) have been made accessible at launch. For reference, that's Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, Mirage, and Shadows. Ubisoft says that, while Period 1 titles aren't "currently" ed, we can expect content to continue rolling out over the coming months and years. This is also set to include the return of multiplayer.

Next up, we have Projects that open up in-game missions called Anomalies. Some of these create rifts in the current memory, offering exploratory sidequests that grant insights into other key figures who have shaped the current narrative. In Shadows, it's Alvaro Catarribera – founder of the Japanese branch of the Assassin Brotherhood.

Anomalies grant all sorts of spicy rewards as you proceed through battle -style reward tracks (don't worry, they're free). These include Legendary gear, lore snippets, and a special currency called Keys that can be used to purchase even more goodies from the Exchange. The Exchange itself features a rotating shop that appears to update both daily and weekly, judging from the explainer trailer above.

It should be noted that Keys can also be found in-game at random, denoted by a glowing icon.

Finally, there's the Vault. Here you'll find all the narrative spice that helps augment the Assassin's Creed universe. Of course, you'll have to uncover these tidbits first, either through playing Shadows or clearing through the Projects reward tracks.

And that's everything you need to know about the Assassin's Creed Animus Hub. If you're hoovering up Shadows content then let our expansive AC Shadows guides hub satiate your appetite.
