Want the Ray Gun in BO6 Zombies? The best easter eggs in the Black Ops 6 Zombies mode are the rare and valuable Wonder Weapons. These powerful weapons can only be obtained in-game and are lost on death, but it's worth jumping through hoops to get one as the Ray Gun can obliterate zombies in a single shot.
You can obtain the classic Zombies Ray Gun from a Mystery Box, but there's no way to guarantee this, and it could cost a lot of Essence to keep rolling. There is a way to guarantee a FPS game so you don't waste all your cash on the luck of the draw.
How to get the BO6 Ray Gun
Unlike the Beamsmasher in the Liberty Falls main quest, there is no guaranteed way of getting the Ray Gun. All the methods below have a chance of giving you the gun for free, while the last costs 950 Essence and a valuable Gobblegum, but gives you an increased 50% chance.
Using Black Ops 6 Legendary loot keys
Since Wonder Weapons are classified as Legendary items, there is a chance that, with a Legendary Liberty Falls vault or the Terminus armory.
Blowing up the Groundskeepers car
He might be dead, but it still feels like sacrilege to blow up the Groundskeepers classic motor. Nevertheless, it could be worth your while, and it's not like you can drive it away.
If you destroy the vintage vehicle parked in the Groundskeeper's yard with a Mangler Cannon, it drops an item out of the boot, and there is a chance that it could even drop the sought-after Ray Gun. What's the harm in giving it a go? You could even kill a few zombies in the process – just don't stand too close to the explosion zone yourself.
You can either get a Mangler Cannon by killing a Mangler, ensuring that you aim for its cannon until you blast it off, or by making one at a crafting bench for 1,250 Salvage.
Completing SAM Trials
SAM Trials are a separate, optional set of challenges, but completing them can grant you with some pretty decent rewards, including the Ray Gun.
When a new SAM Trial is available, you'll receive a notification on screen at the start of the round. You should see a purple laser beam going into the sky – like the white one marking the Mystery Box location – showing where the machine is. Interact with the machine, and part with some precious Essence to start a trial.
Your goal appears on the left-hand side of the screen in a purple box, along with a countdown timer in which you must complete it. Do so, and a valuable chest spawns nearby. As you complete more SAM Trials in one match, the greater chance you have of finding a Ray Gun inside.
Breaking Dark Aether crystals
This one's shockingly easy, but it's also incredibly rare. You can get a Ray Gun from destroying Dark Aether crystals in the church. Each crystal drops anything from Salvage to throwables, and it has a very low chance of dropping weapons, including the powerful Ray Gun itself. It's also worth noting that crystals do respawn over time, but you might be waiting a while to get the precious Ray Gun.
Wonderbar! Gobblegum
This is actually the single best way of obtaining a Ray Gun. Unlike the other options here, it does cost you, but you have a far greater chance of getting the Ray Gun, a massive 50% chance, in fact.
Equip the Wonderbar! Gobblegum to your loadout and use Gobblegum machines throughout the map until you get it. Open a Mystery Box, and you'll be guaranteed one of the map's Wonder Weapons, hence that 50% chance. Use the Crate Power Gobblegum and your new Wonder Weapon will come out of the box automatically Pack-A-Punched. Do this during a Fire Sale, and you can even get your Pack-A-Punched Wonder Weapon for just 10 Essence, so it's practically free.
The only downside is that the Wonderbar! (and Crate Power) Gobblegum is fairly rare, and it only works once. You get one from reaching progression tier 51, they can be bought from the shop, and you have a chance of getting more just by playing Zombies mode.
