It looks like you'll have a lot of freedom in Cyberpunk 2077. The dystopian RPG will feature you won't even have to worry about a morality system keeping track of what you get up to in Night City. However, developer CD Projekt Red now seems to have confirmed one big restriction – you won't be able to attack kids or story NPCs.
Masoncool4566 has posted a screenshot on Keanu Reeves' Johnny Silverhand in a fist-fight, then. Not that you'd want to, of course.
However, it still looks like you'll more or less have free-rein to be a bit fighty towards anyone else in the game. The devs add "other than that you can be aggressive towards most people you meet", adding a 'winking face' emojji for effect.
If you're not looking to do a pacifist run, maybe you'll get to test out some of those melee combat translated from the Witcher 3 on some of those other people unlucky enough to cross your path.
Asked about the random acts of violence in the city.

Keeping kids and NPCs key to V's missions safe from combat sounds like a good idea, for obvious reasons. However, it looks like Skyrim. The game isn't going to mods at launch, so hopefully the poor youngsters of Night City will be safe, for a while at least.
