Krafton has announced that Dark and Darker Mobile is soft launching in the next few days, with the full global release scheduled for the first half of 2025. The game will be available to US and Canadian players for the first time ever, and it'll finally let players see what the medieval extraction RPG looks like on the go.
According to Krafton, "strong enthusiasm from the community encouraged us to accelerate our plans" for Dark and Darker Mobile, with from North American players being particularly prevalent. That's why the soft launch has been expanded from just Canada to also include the entirety of the US.
The multiplayer game will be available on both Android and iOS devices, but you'll need to meet specific requirements. The recommended hardware for play is a Galaxy S8, iPhone 8, or anything newer. As for your operating system, it'll need to be Android 9.0, iOS 15.0, or higher, with 4GB or more of available RAM.
In the lead-up to the Dark and Darker Mobile North American debut, Krafton has made a variety of enhancements. The UI, dungeons, combat, and seasonal model have all been greatly changed, with the release acting as another opportunity to spruce things up ahead of the global launch.
When the full release rolls around, Krafton has confirmed that both content from the desktop version, as well as new, original classes, are in the works. "We will continue to develop various classes to offer new experiences to our s," executive producer Joonseok Ahn explains.
Krafton has confirmed that the Dark and Darker Mobile soft launch will start on Wednesday February 5 in the US and Canada. Players outside of these two locations can still access the game, but Krafton warns it "may result in less stable gameplay."
