You can trounce Dark Souls 3 bosses with a Ring Fit Adventure controller

A Dark Souls 3 player's taken on its beastly bosses using a RingCon mod controller and a big workout

A RPG game's biggest baddest bosses using just the circular contraption, a big workout, and a plucky, can-do attitude.

That's according to a clip posted by Reddit  SuperLouis64, in which he says: "I made a Ring Fit Adventure mod to Play Dark Souls with so I can have more fun exercising while social distancing!" It's clear the mod makes for some hard work, in more ways than one. As you can see in the clip below, combat and movement require plenty of physical exertion, with the creator needing to more or less constantly jog on the spot to keep moving and survive boss fights.

The mod's aided by a single Nintendo Switch controller mounted on the side of the Ring-Con to help the  pick the direction of travel, but other than that, it's all the modder's own effort. Phew!

Staggeringly, it looks like it's pretty effective in the right hands. During the clip, SuperLouis manages to down Dark Souls 3's first (very tough) boss, Iudex Gundyr, as well as Dancer of the Boreal Valley. That's impressive. Take a look for yourself:

It doesn't seem there's a way to the mod for yourself just yet, but SuperLouis does have a bunch more videos in which he tackles some classic games using creative methods. For example, he's previously taken Dark Souls 3's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice using only Donkey Kong bongos, and Halo Reach using bananas for controllers.
