Dead By Daylight continues to be the number one destination if you want some multiplayer horror game scares. It's also got some of the best crossovers in gaming, if you ask me – always either tonally on point or pleasantly surprising. DBD's latest collaboration is a skin line inspired by the works of horror manga legend Junji Ito, and they're some of the most disturbing the game has seen yet.
Announced at the tail end of last year, this lineup of eight new horror game, rather than just cosmetics, but I do also appreciate that they maybe don't have the mainstream appeal that the likes of Ghostface, the Xenomorph, Alan Wake, or, erm, Nicolas Cage have.
The Junji Ito Collection is spearheaded by a duo of legendary skins for two of the game's Killers. The first is for The Artist, and depicts the twisted Miss Fuchi from Fashion Model. The second transforms The Spirit into arguably Ito's most popular and recognizable character, Tomie. Both come with unique audio recordings to make them extra unique and, of course, extra creepy.

Three other Killers have been blessed with Ito-inspired skins, but these sit in lower tiers and don't come with the bespoke audio. The Twins become a grotesque depiction of the Hikizuri siblings, The Trickster portrays Soichi with a court jester-meets-voodoo-doll type look, and The Dredge gets what may be my favorite-looking skin of the lot, Half Spirits' Torment, which fuses several haunting bodies and faces together to create a walking nightmare.
On the Survivors side, Kate Denson gets a creepy ballerina skin inspired by Marionette Mansion, Yun-Jin Lee becomes Terumi from the manga The Hanging Balloons, and Yui Kimura gets a makeover to resemble Tsuskiko from the Tomie series.
"It's always a momentous occasion when a legend of the horror genre makes their mark in Dead by Daylight," Behaviour Interactive says about the Junji Ito collab, and once again the studio has done a great job honoring the source material and creating some really creepy skins.

The Junji Ito Collection is out now in Dead By Daylight. You can check out the artwork for all the skins here.
