Microsoft have been forced to apologise for a recent Dead Rising 4 email, which some people thought contained a racial slur in the subject line.

Microsoft were actually trying to make a zombie noise by arranging some letters together and emphasising them with caps, but the arrangement was… unfortunate.
The email contained some zombies singing Christmas carols, but the subject line was "NNNNGGGHHHAAAA". Some people interpreted that as something other than a zombie growl, forcing Microsoft big dog Larry Hryb to take to Twitter to apologise.
Today we sent a DR4 email where a zombie roar was interpreted by many as a racial slur. We apologize and promise to do better next time.

It's a bizarre set of events, but at least now we're all aware of the dangers of doing zombie noises in mass emails.
Dead Rising 4 releases on December 6.
Thanks, Kotaku.
