If only it was that simple.
Frostpunk is unforgiving, so much so that I've never actually been able to complete the campaign – or get far at all – despite playing countless times. You're constantly faced with decisions and moral dilemmas that require you to weigh survival against your civilization's health and happiness. Need more resources to power the huge generator that provides heat and therefore survival to all your citizens? You need resources. Resources require manual labor. So, given adults use more resources than kids, do you pull children out of school, which allows them to become more educated and potentially help the research effort, or do you enforce child labor, which will likely result in some limbless (and dead) kids? This game is a constant balancing act, but one that has had me returning time and time again in hopes that this time I'll succeed. I have no patience, so it says a lot about Frostpunk how gripping Frostpunk is that I keep coming back to it.
