The GTA 5 system requirements received a considerable boost thanks to the introduction of the enhanced edition launching on PC in March 2025.
This new update brought with it all the next-gen console visual upgrades, plus ray tracing and Microsoft DirectStorage, allowing for faster loading times. Having an SSD will still provide some benefits, but an NVMe drive used on Windows 10 or 11 will open up access to the DirectStorage feature.

By modern standards, none of the GTA system requirements are demanding, with many of the above titles relying on the now-defunct Nvidia GTX graphics cards.
The only GTA game that might benefit from newer hardware is Grand Theft Auto 5. This is because there are plenty of GTA 5 mods that can increase the graphical fidelity of the game, even going as far as to add photorealistic visuals.
