How to save in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
To save in KCD2, you need an item called Saviour Schnapps, an alcoholic drink that sits in your potion slot and can be consumed to save your game. Not only is it used to save your game, but much like the other potions, it has some other attributes: it will get you mildly drunk, and some of the most potent versions of it can restore health and give you a few other, minor buffs.
If you don't have a Saviour Schnapps to hand, there's one other way you can manually save the game, but it's a bit of a pain. You can press 'Save & Quit' on the menu, which will save the game, but as you have probably guessed, will also quit the game. This can be handy in a pinch, but booting the game back up is time-consuming. You can also sleep in an owned bed, which restores your health, energy, and saves the game.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 auto-saves on occasion, usually when you begin or end a quest, or reach a milestone of the story. This stops you from losing major chunks of progress if you're completing missions, but if you're off doing your own thing, we suggest stocking up on Saviour Schnapps first.

You can buy Saviour Schnapps in nearly any tavern, and almost every merchant who sells alcohol. Saviour Schnapps can be found when rooting through people's belongings, but since it's such an important item to have, it's worth spending money on this item whenever you find yourself in a settlement.

How to make Saviour Schnapps:
- Add the nettle to the cauldron and boil for two turns
- Grind the Belladonna
- Add the Belladonna to the cauldron and boil for one turn
