Who can you romance in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? It makes sense that in a game full of opportunity and self-expression, there is also romance. It may not always be flowery, wonderful, epic romance in KCD2, but there are hints of it, somewhere. Here's everything you need to know about romance, its benefits, and more importantly: which NPCs are on board.
It's good to take a breather now and then when you're playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 quests, and if you're interested too, then that makes for a pretty entertaining evening, we'd say. Here are all the KCD2 romance options, and how they can benefit you.
All Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 romance options
We are opting to omit spoilers and instead give a location so you can find these potential partners for yourself. It's important to note that to woo these suitors, you must several conversation checks, and of course, show a willingness to romance them.
Here are all the romance options in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2:
- Bathhouses – the bathhouses you'll see dotted around the KCD2 map offer many services: you can opt to get your clothes, and your body clean, or you could pay for the full package, which includes some time with one of the workers.
- Doubravka – Semine, during the Wedding Crashers mission. Speak to Doubravka's mother and she'll ask you to dance with her shy daughter.
- Widow Johnaka – Trosky Castle, during the For Victory! quest. You have the option of 'living the good life' before leaving Trosky castle, and woo Widow Johnaka during the feast.
- Black Bartoush – Trosky Castle, during the For Victory! quest. Same as Johnaka, you can chat with Black Bartoush during the feast at Trosky Castle for his romance option.
- Lousy Mary – Kuttenberg bathhouse. You can talk to Lousy Mary, share a drink, and she'll suggest having some fun – if you're into it.
- Klara – Nebakov Fortress, you meet her during the Back in the Saddle quest. This is a multiple-part romance, as you can spend time with Klara during your first visit to Nebakov Fortress, and then again if you help her patch up soldiers' wounds later.
- Margaret – in a mill south of Bylany. Wooing Margaret is part of the 'Damsel in Distress' quest, where she tells Henry that someone is out to kill her. Help her out, and she'll take quite a liking to you.
- Hans Capon – Hans is everywhere, usually, but you can only romance him later in the game at a certain point, provided your reputation level is high enough.
- Rosa Ruthard – You meet Rosa at Ruthard Palace, and she can be instrumental in helping you get into some places the authorities wish you couldn't. You can run some odd errands for Rosa, building your relationship, eventually resulting in an intimate exchange.
What is the KCD2 romance buff?
After you spend time being intimate with someone, you gain something called the 'Time Well Spent' buff. While this buff is active, you'll get +1 to your Agility, Strength, and Vitality KCD2 skills, making you much more viable for any potential combat scenarios that lie ahead. Time Well Spent lasts several hours but does wear off in the end, so make use of it while you can.
Now that you know who you can romance in KCD2, and what benefits it gives you, you can go out there and do what you will! Henry, canonically, is still in love with Theresa back home, so we think it's perfectly okay if you don't opt for any of this romance stuff and stay on track, too. While you're out, potentially sowing seeds, don't forget the best KCD2 armor, because you never know when things are going to turn ugly.
