How does Monopoly Go work? The first ever mobile app version of Monopoly, you'll throw your dice to travel along squares on the board much like the tabletop version. You'll also be constructing a series of structures up to certain levels before upgrading and progressing to a new environment and theme.

The twist comes with a minor PvP element. In Monopoly Go dice links to maximize your potential income and progress faster, for huge rewards.

How to play Monopoly Go

Just like in the board game, you'll choose a token. You can move this token around the board based on the number indicated by each dice roll you have. You can multiply the rewards earned from each tile by tapping the small multiplier icon near the dice, known as roll multipliers. This will earn you more money from property rent, more points during tournaments and events, more items collected from the board, and more. You begin with a limited number of dice rolls, but there are multiple ways to get more:

Bank Heist and Shut Down minigames are triggered by landing on one of the four railroad tiles – King's Cross, Marylebone, Fenchurch Street, and Liverpool Street Station. You can also lose cash on your journey around the board if you land on Income Tax or Luxury Tax tiles.

You can collect shield styles and tokens from your playthroughs of Monopoly Go, and display them in an in-game showroom. The styles are interchangeable and you can select them based on your preference at any time.

As you progress through Monopoly Go you will build landmarks on each island, up to five levels each, using in-game coins. When each landmark has reached its maximum level, you will progress to the next island. There are a massive 150 islands in Monopoly Go at present, ranging from real-world inspired locations like New York and London, to fictional destinations. Each island, or world, costs slightly more to upgrade as you progress through, with the later islands being significantly more expensive and requiring more hours to earn the coins required for all of the landmark upgrades.

Sticker albums

Sticker albums are sets of stickers with a set theme. There are 21 sets of stickers per sticker album, and each set contains nine stickers. Some of these contain gold stickers that cannot be traded unless they feature in the next Monopoly Go Golden Blitz event. Wild stickers come into play, as you can use these to earn missing stickers that you haven't yet found in normal gameplay. Each sticker album runs for around three months before it expires and is replaced by a completely new album. There have been a series of albums so far:

Events

Monopoly Go has regular events and tournaments that occur for a limited time only. They usually grant cash, dice rolls, and sticker pack rewards. They take various formats, including tournaments, partner events, milestone events, prize drops, Golden Blitz, cash grabs, landmark rush, and more. How to add friends in Monopoly Go

To play with friends in Monopoly Go, you can invite from your list of the most recently interacted players in-game, or link to your Facebook or phone book and see which of your friends are already playing Monopoly Go, as well as send invitations to those who aren't yet.

To add friends in Monopoly Go, hit the friends menu icon and select list to automatically add anyone from your phone's list. You can follow the same steps, but select Facebook to find your Facebook friends.

Finally, you can also select the invite link option to share a link directly with friends or family to invite them to you in Monopoly Go. This could earn you up to 150 dice or tokes by inviting people to the game via your invite link. This will only work if you're inviting people who don't already play.

The Monopoly Go Tycoon Club is an exclusive, invite-only society website known as Mr. Monopoly's Tycoon Club. You can earn rewards from special offers and deals that will be applied to your Monopoly Go . Here, you can also purchase loyalty points or earn them and then redeem them against sticker packs and other rewards.

The more loyalty points you spend, the more progress will be filled up in the Tycoon Club's for extra prizes. You can also get these for free from the daily wheel and other gifts. To gain entry to the Tycoon Club, you will receive an invitation in the game. There is no other way currently to the Tycoon Club.
