Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti release date, price, and specs

Nvidia's new lower mid-range graphics card is here and we've got all the info you need on this new Blackwell gaming GPU with GDDR7 VRAM.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is official, with Nvidia having unveiled its lower mid-range / upper entry-level gaming GPU on April 15, 2025. With prices for the GPU starting at $379 and it coming in both 8GB and 16GB versions, it's set to be a potentially very competitive offering for the sub-$400 market.

RTX 5060 Ti release date

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti release date is April 16, 2025. That's the date buyers will be able to order the new card, assuming stock is available, while Nvidia's official RTX 5060 Ti announcement occurred the day before on April 15.

RTX 5060Ti price

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti price is $379 for the 8GB card and $429 for the 16GB card. These prices are notably lower than those of the previous RTX 4060 Ti cards, which cost $399 and $499 respectively. We don't yet know how these prices will compare to the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT when that arrives, but in isolation they're notably more aggressive than previous recent Nvidia launches.

RTX 5060 Ti specs

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti specs include that it has 8GB or 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM and 4,608 CUDA cores.

RTX 5060 Ti specs
CUDA cores / shader TFLOPs 4,608 / 24
RT cores / ray tracing TFLOPs TBD / 72
Tensor cores / AI TOPs TBD / 759
SMs TBD
VRAM 8GB / 16GB GDDR7
Memory interface 128-bit
TGP 180W
DisplayPort 2.1b

The RTX 5060 Ti specs are an interesting mix, with its shader TFLOPs count only being slightly higher than that of the RTX 4060 Ti, with that GPU rated at 22 TFLOPs. However, its ray tracing and AI processing is considerably improved – nearly double – and this is combined with a lower MSRP. Whether cards actually sell for that lower MSRP is something we're yet to see but, in theory, the RTX 5060 Ti is a notably better-value card than the RTX 4060 Ti.

What's more, the 16GB version of this card is not only cheaper than the 16GB RTX 4060 Ti, which was essentially a complete waste of time of a product, but it could actually prove quite a good buy this generation. That's because, as well as having slightly more processing power at its disposal, we're also now really starting to see games actually push the VRAM limitations of lower-end cards.

In Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, our RTX 5070 review should that card's 12GB was a huge impediment to its performance at very high in-game settings with ray tracing. As such, the 16GB of the RTX 5060 Ti could allow that card to significantly outperform the RTX 5070.

That said, there's no denying that the RTX 5070 is overall still a much faster card and the above scenario is an extreme one. But it could certainly make for an interesting situation if more games start to really push VRAM limits.

Also making the RTX 5060 Ti so much of an upgrade over the RTX 4060 Ti is its access to DLSS 4 multi-frame gen. This technology allows for the card to generate up to three extra frames using AI, effectively quadrupling your frame rate. Combined with the 16GB VRAM version, this could really unlock some high-end gaming experiences that might otherwise be beyond a GPU of this grade.
