Palworld update hands you four free skins just in time for Halloween

A new Palworld update brings four free skins to the creature collecting survival game for Halloween, along with an chat capacity.

If you've been looking for a reason to come back to Palworld, free stuff is the perfect excuse. The creature-collecting survival game remains one of the biggest PC games of 2024 – it's easy to forget the Steam-topping 2.1 million concurrent players it was pulling in during January. Now, as Halloween creeps up on our doorstep, developer Pocketpair has a seasonal update with some free Palworld skins up for grabs, alongside a few quality of life upgrades.

An ongoing legal dispute between Nintendo and the survival game. As a special Halloween treat, you can snag four spooky skins courtesy of the team simply by logging in to play.

The skins in question are the pumpkin-wearing Halloween Cattiva, a Halloween Croajiro look complete with wand and witch's hat, the sinisterly Spectacled Katress, and the bandana-brandishing Pirate Pengullet. Personally, I'm a big fan of Croajiro's new look – the transformation of its stick into a star-topped wand is a delight, and the little guy seems to be having a great time with it.

The new skins are part of Palworld update 0.3.10, which also includes some other tweaks and fixes, including resolved issues with memory leaks and critical crashes. Custom markers should now show more consistently on your com, and the game's text chat character limit has been "significantly increased," allowing you much more freedom to talk to your fellow players.

Palworld update 0.3.10 is out now – to the game to get your four free Halloween skins. Note that these outfits are Pal-specific, so you'll need to have at least one of the Pal type the skin is for in order to actually equip them.
