It might be one of the pioneers of the survival game boom, but Rust isn't resting on its laurels. Facepunch Studios' open-world multiplayer game is still routinely found in the Steam top ten to this day, where it thrives even in the face of continued Ark and Valheim updates along with newcomers such as Enshrouded and Once Human. Now, a new chapter is about to begin. Following the recent Primitive overhaul, it's time to head to a completely fresh region, as the Rust Jungle update transports us to a land of dense forests and tropical treasures.
A "new biome, more wildlife, and more opportunities to hunt or be hunted." The survival game in your Steam Library and use the beta menu to head there, where you'll find it listed under the codename 'aux03.' The area is still a work in progress, but you can get a feel for what's in store and provide any you might have. With crocodiles, snakes, panthers, tigers, and more lurking among the trees, you'll want to watch your step.

Once you've done that, there are some more seasonal delights to keep you busy. The Rust Easter Hunt has just begun, and it'll be available until Thursday April 24. Every 24 – 38 in-game hours, an Easter egg hunt will start, giving you three minutes to collect as many decorated treats as possible. The top three players in each race will be handed special loot boxes with rewards ranging from scrap all the way up to an M249.
Additionally, any collected painted eggs can be upgraded once you have enough, becoming first bronze, then silver, and finally gold. If you want a headstart on the competition, you can seek out an Easter Basket to enable instant egg collection, and the Bunny Onesie and Ears to gain access to 'egg vision.' There are also new themed cosmetics available on the game's item store.
