Saints Row IV's fifth DLC, Gat out of Hell, will be out in January but without Steve Jaros, Volition Studios' creative director. After a decade with the studio he's moving on to a new job at Valve.
He made the announcement on Twitter but kept quiet about what his future at Valve held. I've my fingers crossed that we'll be seeing a giant purple dildo grafted into Half-Life 3. Of course, that'll likely lead to a further six year delay.
The news came through Twitter:
The past 10 years at Volition have been life changing. I've gotten to work with amazing people and made friends that will last a life time..

..I'm super proud of the work we did on Saints Row, and am excited for what Volition does in the future, but it's time for me to move on…

…I'm looking forward to new adventures at Valve Software. @jymmitee @Anim8der Chris King. If we don't get drinks when I'm in town I'll cry

While he'll no doubt be missed by the team at Volition I'm dying to know what he's working on at Valve.
Jaros seems to have left his mark on Gat Out of Hell. It looks like a fine saintly romp in the trailer:
Saints Row IV: Gat Out of Hell's release date is 27 January here in the UK, the US release date is 30 January.
