If you've not played 2024's Silent Hill 2 yet, this deal offers the ideal opportunity for you to do so, at a hefty discount. Fanatical has knocked 47% off the usual price of Silent Hill 2's Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions, letting you pick up the masterful remake of this iconic survival horror game for less. And it's well worth it.
Released in 2024, 23 years after the original, the best horror games of all time to modern hardware.
The Silent Hill 2 remake doesn't change the core story of the original. You play as the floppy-haired James Sunderland, who, upon receiving a letter from his deceased wife, heads to the town of Silent Hill in the hope of seeing her once more. What comes next is a masterclass in psychological horror, as James navigates the foggy, forsaken town, meeting other unusual characters who have been summoned there and taking out the hostile monsters that crawl its abandoned streets and buildings.
This is a stunning remake, which manages to dial up the tense atmosphere with new, unsettling soundscapes, better graphical fidelity, larger environments to explore, and more detailed monsters. I'm also happy to report that the fog looks great, unlike in the HD version. Silent Hill 2 remake doesn't just look good, though; the gameplay feels smoother and more immersive, too, thanks to a new over-the-shoulder camera view and combat system. ittedly, you'll probably still need old-school pen and paper for some of the heart-scratching puzzles.

In PCGamesN's Silent Hill 2 review, Danielle Rose called Bloober Team's remake a "solid, respectful reimagining of a horror classic" and I have to agree. Whether you've played the original or want to take advantage of this iconic horror game finally being accessible on modern hardware (without having to settle for the HD remaster), the Silent Hill 2 remake is a must-play for horror fans.
And now is the perfect time to pick it up if you haven't already, as Fanatical has discounted Silent Hill 2 to its lowest price yet. Right now, you can pick up the Standard Edition of Silent Hill 2, usually $69.99 / £59.99, for just $37.09 / £31.79, while the Digital Deluxe Edition, usually $79.99 / £69.99, has been discounted to $42.39 / £37.09. That's a huge 47% discount!
The best value here is easily the Digital Deluxe Edition, which is now only $5 / £6 more than the discounted Standard Edition and over $20 / £20 less than the Standard Edition's normal price. For that $42.39 / £37.09, you not only get the base game, but you also get a Digital Artbook, Digital Soundtrack, and the Pyramid Head Mask (made out of a pizza box) for James.
This deal ends on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, so make sure to take advantage of this hefty discount while you can. We don't know when, or if, Silent Hill 2 will next be brought down in price by this much again.
