The internet has been in collective cuteness overload since the debut of Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian, the new live-action Star Wars series running on streaming service Disney Plus. As such, it was only a matter of time before the little cutie was modded into one of the many Star Wars games available.
That game is Star Wars: Battlefront 2, and the modder is Nanobuds. Posting a sneak peek of their work so far on the Star Wars: Battlefront subreddit, Nanobuds shared an image of Baby Yoda rendered in Battlefront 2's character view screen. The baby is in one of Yoda's standard poses, sitting cross-legged while floating in the air, all wise and adorable like.
Unfortunately there's no link just yet, and it might be a while before you're conquering the galaxy with the wee green baby. Nanobuds just put out a damaged Vader mod for Battlefront 2 right before this, and shared a look at another mod on Twitter that places Sans from Undertale into the shooter, so they've got a few projects in the works. Something tells us the love for Baby Yoda isn't going to subside any time soon, though, so there's no rush.
Star Wars fans have been a bit spoiled of late. Aside from The Mandalorian, there's Respawn Entertainment's our own Richard Scott-Jones, who called it "one of the best representations of the Star Wars universe there's ever been in a game."
Fallen Order headed up new Star Wars is in the pipeline, though not within the next year or two.
