If you're predominantly a Steam Deck or PC gamer but want to try some of the best games that Xbox has to offer, now's your chance, thanks to this Xbox Games Studios Humble Bundle. You'll get eight great games covering a range of genres, all for just $10, saving over $200 in the process.
Given that there is no Steam Deck, even if the official rating doesn't currently state as such.
Here are the games included in the Xbox Game Studios bundle:
- Quantum Break
- Age of Empires Definitive Edition
- Sunset Overdrive
- Ori and the Will of the Wisp
- Wasteland 3
- As Dusk Falls
- Broken Age
- Battletoads
According to Humble, this bundle of games has a total MSRP of $214 / £151.98, but it can be yours for just $10 / £7.80, which is a total saving of $204 / £144.18. You can purchase the bundle by following this link.
The standout games in this bundle for me include Quantum Break, one of Remedy's forgotten treasures that didn't get the love it deserved when it released, but is finding new life as a cult classic.
Part video game, part TV show, Quantum Break is an action-adventure game that leans more into science fiction than the supernatural creepiness expected from Remedy in Alan Wake or Control, but the game tells a compelling story from start to finish with a ton of exciting action set pieces along the way.
Another great title in this bundle is Sunset Overdrive, an extremely colorful game from Insomniac Games, released right before it became a Sony first-party studio. This open-world action game doesn't take itself too seriously, with the plot following what happens when a newly released energy drink turns consumers into toxic mutants.
A big selling point of Sunset Overdrive was its ambitious movement mechanics, which encourage you to constantly be on the move, be it grinding rails, bouncing on cars, or wall running, while taking down mutants to maximize your score.
The game is listed as Uned on Steam Deck, but this is due to a bug that will see one of the save files always corrupted. However, the game otherwise runs at a stable 60fps on medium-to-low settings.
Finally, I have to highlight Ori and the Will of the Wisps, a fantastic Metroidvania-style platformer that builds upon 2016's Ori and the Blind Forest. You'll encounter challenging platforming puzzles, intuitive combat, and a story that tugs on your heartstrings, all backed up by a beautiful soundtrack and stunning art style.
