Titanfall 2 didn't meet EA's expectations, but "still sold very well," according to the company's CFO, Blake Jorgunsen. In an earnings call yesterday, executives and investors briefly discussed the game's financial results.
Titanfall 2 is one of the best FPS games on PC.
EA say that revenue over Q3 2017 will be 3% lower than the same period last year. When asked why this was by an investor, Jorgunsen said that this year's releases aren't expected to hold up to the enormous success of Battlefield 1.
Jorgunsen also goes on to say that "we had Titanfall [2], which while it didn't meet our original expectation, still sold very well." Those expectations were originally up to sales in the region of five or six million.
Titanfall developer Respawn's CEO Vince Zampella told the game "for many, many years."
