It's official, World of Warcraft is taking us back to the Broken Isles for its next overhauled event. Following the success of MoP Remix, Blizzard confirms that we'll be visiting another beloved expansion with the arrival of WoW Legion Remix. Announced during the MMORPG's 'Evolving Azeroth' at PAX East 2025, it will bring us back to the days of Legion in a dramatically reimagined way with entirely new scaling, added power, and overall silliness. In addition to that, the developer teases that there will be a little more on the table for high-end and mythic players than we got to see in the Mists of Pandaria shakeup.
You'll always get slightly different answers depending on who you ask, but MMORPG, and featured some of the last great narrative beats we'd have for many years until the recent upswing with The War Within. You can see the confirmation in the video below, starting at 46:15.

"Legion has a lot of content," associate game director Jeremy Feasel says, "it has a lot more content than Mists of Pandaria, and it has a huge amount of different systems." He adds that the team is hard at work figuring out which aspects it wants to remix and in what ways. As such, most of the real meat about what we can expect in WoW Legion Remix will come in a larger info dump down the line, but Feasel offers a few "juicy tidbits" to keep us going.
If you felt that MoP Remix was a little too easy for your tastes, you're in luck. "Wouldn't it be cool if you could do mythic keystones with the wild item scaling of Remix and see how high you can go?" Feasel says the team is really excited for players to find ways to completely break mythic+ dungeons. Alongside this comes a new, higher-difficulty world tier called the Shattered Timeline, which Feasel explains is inspired by the way Diablo ramps up its challenge.
There's no date for when we'll get to dive into WoW Legion Remix yet, so we'll have to sit on our hands and speculate about what weird builds we might be bringing to the table against the likes of Gul'dan, Kil'jaeden, and Argus the Unmaker. You can also watch the rest of the for a few more glimpses at the WoW housing system.
